Students of the Greek-Albanian college “Arsakeio” and the Greek Ambassador, Eleni Sourani, joined the action of the Tirana municipality.

A group of students from the Tirana University also planted 65 decorative trees at the “Students’ Town” campus, where they live. 150 olive trees were planted at the Tirana Artificial Lake and Farka.

“As we get closer to our purpose for 100,000 trees, I am happy to see friends from the Greek Embassy and their staff joining us by donating 150 good-quality olive trees from Greece. Some of them will be planted at the Lake Park, the rest in Farka”, Veliaj said.

He invited other diplomatic representatives to follow the initiative of the Greek Embassy in Tirana.

“They are among the first ones who joined this initiative and I believe that other embassies will follow their example. This way they can say that when they were serving in Albania, they planted their trees and became part of Tirana’s green revolution”, Mayor Veliaj declared.
