Glover from OSCE/ODIHR: We’ve never observed elections without an opposition

The Head of the OSCE/ODIHR, Audri Glover, announced that 250 observers will monitor the 14th elections that are being monitored in Albania by the organization she leads.

When asked about how will the elections be conducted, since the opposition is promising to boycott them, unless the Prime Minister resigns.

Glover said that they are neither an election police, nor politicians. They are just electoral experts who have come without any agenda, and who will simply let facts speak for themselves.

“The elections are not just one day. What happens after the elections is equally important. The citizens need to make a real vote. They must be able to chose between candidates who must hold elections in equal conditions”, Glover said.

When asked if she had ever monitored elections without the opposition, Glover said that his has never happened.
