Socialist Democratic Party leader, Skender Gjinushi, analyzed the
post-election situation in Albania and declared that the experiment of
solving the political crisis with local elections has failed.

According to Gjinushi, no other alternatives remain, except early elections.

“In a state where the right for free votes does not exist, the only one who can set law and order is the people, through early elections that fulfill all standards. Every other race is a race out of track”. Gjinushi declared.

Social Democratic Party leader mentioned the decisions of the Electoral College, which he called as the continuity of failures of the judicial system in Albania.

“The judicial system failed to protect the free vote, as it failed with Gerdec, January 21st and Durres-Kukes road. The rule of law does not exist in this country. Albania faces today a more illegal and absurd situation. The Electoral College failed to find the courage to bring justice. The College decided to create a winner out of invalid votes. This race was made out of track”, Gjinushi declared.

Gjinushi added that in front of such a situation, when the rules of are changed during the game, when the Electoral College does not bring justice, but legitimates injustice, the College delegitimates the oppositions, to which only the name has remained as such.

“An opposition that cannot protect such a legitime result cannot be called an opposition. Same goes for the people. People’s rights must be protected. The vote of the people must be protected, and not the next mandate of the leader. No further actions must be recognized without the expertise of the Commission of Venice”, Gjinushi declared.
