The Democratic Party reacted after the former Mayor of Kavaja, Elvis Rroshi, was sentenced to community service. They said that this is clear proof that Edi Rama is not taking the Kavaja Mayor seriously.

Today’s decision of the Prosecution and Court to leave out of prison Edi Rama’s friend, Elvis Rroshi, who was discharged after the decriminalization law, proves that Edi Rama is not taking the decriminalization process seriously and that he is playing with this vital process for the country.

“Albanians saw today that when you’re a friend of Edi Rama, the justice system is under your control and you can escape prison. All you do is 60 hours of community service. Tom Doshi, Edi Rama’s other friend, escaped prison the same way. The Democratic Party has made it clear that the Prosecutor General, Arta Marku, was appointed by Edi Rama to save himself and his corrupted ministers”, the DP declaration said.
