“Force of Law” operation discussed on Top Story: “A success, or a farce?”

The Deputy Interior Minister and, Besfort Lamallari, met with journalists last night on Top Story to discuss the “Force of Law” operation, much praised by the Interior Ministry for the fight against crime.
Top Channel’s journalist Anila Hoxha said that the first bust of this operation, which was declared as a huge success a few days ago, turned out to be just a small routine control since the persons who were arrested were only caught with 130 grams of marijuana.
“There have been many operations with fancy names, but charges against suspects arrested by them have always been dropped at court”, Hoxha said.
Journalist Xhevahir Zhabina declared that the Force of Law is just a continuity of the “Autumn 2017” operation, which may serve for some bigger hit in the days to come.
The Deputy Interior Minister declared that this operation is an important initiative of the government which has been missing for all this time: “It’s about coordinating all institutions with international partners for identifying persons involved with the organized crime”, Lamallari declared, underlining the presence of experts from the FBI, the German GDF and two British agents.
Lamallari insisted that the Force of Law aims to hit crime assets, in order to inflict a long-term damage.
