Fleckenstein: “Both EU and Albania want a functional Interior Ministry”

The rapporteur for Albania at the European Parliament, Knut Fleckenstein, said that the EU and Albania needs an Interior Ministry that is functional.
He added that he is not aware of the reasons why President Ilir Meta did not decree Sander Lleshi for Minister of Interior.
“I cannot take sides, but our common interest, for both Albania and the EU, is to have a functional Interior Ministry. I hope they find a solution to this matter”, Lleshi declared.
