The economic problems of the Eurozone are giving their first negative effects in the Albanian economy.

The Institution of Statistics reported that the sales of Albanian companies in foreign markets dropped with 2.3% in the first four months of this year.

Most of this slowdown came from oil and electricity exports, which brought in 5 billion ALL less than one year ago.

But while it was expected for the energy, due to the recent drought, the negative tendency has affected other groups as well.

According to INSTAT, the export of metals has also been lower, since construction companies have apparently had less demand.
