The European Commission declared that the Albanian economy grew with 4.1% during the past year, thanks to the increased consumption and private investments.

The report for the economic progress of candidate countries during the last trimester notes that this is the fifth consequent year that Albania’s economy kept growing, by reviving the job market.

“The unemployment in Albania is now 12.6%. The unemployment among youth remains high, at 23%, but there is progress from 34% that it was three years ago”.

The European Commission foresees that Albania’s economic growth will remain among the highest in the region for the upcoming years.
