The EU Ambassador to Tirana, Luigi Soreca, attended the conference “Everything for Justice” which is being held in Tirana with the Western Balkan Ministers of Justice.
“Injustice is a threat in any country. A functional justice system is the foundation of democracy. I am proud that we have supported Albania for the judiciary reform”, he declared.
“The people of Albania were the ones demanding these reforms. Their hopes are set on this judiciary reform. Few countries in the world have undertaken such deep transformation. There are around 100 judges and prosecutors who have been removed from the system. We want to thank those judges and prosecutors who didn’t lose their integrity. The judiciary reform is an important part of Albania’s modern history”, Soreca declared.
“We will stand by your side so that this path will not stop. There is no true democracy without a justice system that truly protects the basic rights”.
