EU aid for floods, Ambassador Vlahutin: “EU mechanism is working”

The European Union responded to Albania’s help appeal for the flood situation.
Two weeks after the recent floods, the EU brought water pumps, generators, blankets and salvage equipment.
The Ambassadors underlined the fact that the EU aid mechanism works well, and the emergency in Albania proves this.
The EU Ambassador, Romana Vlahutin, said that this aid comes very naturally and the EU is ready to help not only the member countries, but also the other countries in need. She also thanked Albania’s neighbouring countries that helped without being in the EU.
The Minister of Defense, Olta Xhacka, valued the solidarity of European taxpayers for Albania and said that such moments make friendship between people even stronger.
