During a meeting with high directors of the State Police, General Police Director Hysni Burgaj said that the police agents must guarantee free elections.
“The duties will be performed through an effective and ethical work, in order to guarantee free and fair local elections for all citizens. 5700 police officers all over the nation have finished their training regarding the State Police performance during the election process”, Burgaj declared.
Vice Interior Minister Avenir Peka said that State Police has received the legal framework that should be implemented during the election process.
“I want to emphasize that the legal framework that the State Police operates is very clear and I am sure that the Police will not avoid any of the provisions guaranteed by law”, Peka said.
According to Burgaj, the State Police will implement the law, especially the Election Code dispositions and the instructions recommended by Election Central Commission.
