Less than half an hour before the closure of the electoral process, some
voting centers in Elbasan are full of electors that want to vote.
Sources from the political parties say that the participation in the recent hours was 50% in the Elbasan Municipality, the highest level in the Elbasan district.
The democratic candidate Luçiano Boçi described the electoral process with positive notes.
“The process has been calm, has started when assigned, and there have been no incidents. There have been only sporadic occasions with militants acting emotionally, which is something natural. It is important that these incidents have happened outside the voting centers. This process is a won battle”, Boçi declared.
As for the problems of the Paper commune, Boçi explained that it was solved with the consensus of both parties.
“The Paper commune is a strange case, because our candidate had the logo of another party, and the other candidate had our logo. The worst that could have happened, would be the blocking of the process and the citizens would be more tired by the prolongation. But there has been a solution, after the candidates agreed to continue the elections this way and to accept the results”, Boçi declared.
Same comments came from the Socialist Deputy, Ilir Bejtja, who underlined the consensus between parties.
“The process started yesterday, when we received the voting materials. The process has been correct, and there has been consensus between parties. The process was like my colleague said,” Bejtja declared.
He added that some voting centers have verified the exaggerated presence of a minister accompanied by police cars, but that have not infringed the process.
