Elbasan, artists appalled for burned theater

The artists of the “Scampa” theater in Elbasan feel appalled for the
tragic event, saying that they cannot find the words to describe the
sorrow that they are feeling.
The entire life contribution that was given to that scene disappeared in a few hours by the flames.
The Mayor of Elbasan guaranteed the citizens and the artists that the theater will be reconstructed, because the building had been paying insurances for four years.
“Elbasan Police has arrested two suspects for the massive fire that destroyed the “Scampa” theater. According to the Spokesperson for the Police, Valbona Begu, the arrested suspects are Ali and Gentian Meçe, 55 and 36 years old.
Police says that they are responsible for the event that took place one day ago. During the accident they were working on the terrace of a private hotel, close to the theater. During the works for the isolation of the terrace, they haven’t been able to stop the fire and the situation went out of control.
