Prime Minister Sali Berisha wished a successful new academic year to all
students, while visiting the Fan Noli University of Korce.

By promising more cooperation with other universities of the world, Berisha specified that 70% of the high school students go to university after graduating.

Berisha answered to Rama’s accusations from Korca, regarding the governments’ program for the university system, calling them as cynical and invaluable.

According to him, the universities do not guarantee employment, but increase the chances.

“I want to tell these gentlemen that the Albanian Universities do not distribute diplomas or employment cards. But the studies in Albania and all over the world have found that the graduates have 5% more chances to find a job than the others”, Berisha declared.

Berisha added that he knows that Albania’s progress in education is lower than that to the European Countries, but he considered this a challenge for the government, appealing for commitment in an unstoppable reform.
