The Economist has made an article about Tirana, listing the works done in the past two years by Mayor Veliaj,

Tim Judah, who has a good knowledge of Albania, lists the changes that were made to the city during the last two years that Veliaj was Mayor.

The article underlines that Veliaj, the 37-year-old who leads the capital of Albanians, finished most of the works in the city centre during the first two years of the first term. Now he is focused on the suburbs, which, according to the Economist, is having a contract with the state for the first time in 25 years.

The British newspaper brings the challenges Veliaj met in his personal and public life, while today the Mayor is seen everywhere, inspecting and inaugurating works throughout the city.

As for the political battle, Tim Judah, a good connoisseur of Albania, says that Veliaj is in a good position, far from the scandals that are damaging Rama’s government, and already working for a second term as Mayor.
