Election Central Commission (ECC) approved the members and secretaries that Socialist Party (SP) and Union for Human Rights Party (UHRP) proposed for the Election Commissions of Local Administration (ECLA).
This was possible only after the resignation of Civil Society commissioners, who were appointed by ECC to complete the ECLA’s quorum.
During the afternoon meeting, where all SP representatives were present, ECC heard the concern of left centered candidates who could not complete their registration in Patos, because ECLA had closed offices before midnight.
ECC chairman Arben Ristani asked socialist representatives to submit a written request on this problem.
During another meeting held earlier this day, ECC decided to fill the vacant Parliament seats with candidates from the multiple-names parties’ list, after the resignation of deputies Lulëzim Basha, Adrian Kollozi, Ferdinand Xhaferraj, Fatos Tushe and Gjokë Jaku, who will be running on May 8th local elections.
