Edi Rama participated at the inauguration of the Art Gallery at the
center of the coastal city of Durrës, declaring that despite the
attempts of his opponent to block investments in socialist leaded
municipalities, nothing can stop the cities’ development.
This gallery was one of the projects that had been blocked for the center of the city. It needs to go ahead and get finished”, Rama declared.
While asking the citizens’ support on May 8th elections, Rama expressed his desire to participate in any exhibit of this gallery. The Mayor Dako, who runs for his second mandate, said that the gallery is a promise that was made 4 years ago, and despite the obstacles put by the central government, it was able to get finished in time for the artists and art lovers of Durrës.
”I promise that we will do more for culture, art, youth and sport. We triplicated the funds for the culture and will do three times more for our successors”, Dako said.
The new gallery launched the very first exhibit, with 53 works of the Durrës artists, with different themes and techniques.
