DP: “Government breaks positive tradition, leaves opposition out of Brussels EU meeting”

The Democratic Party says that the government has broken the tradition of having the opposition present at the Stabilization-Association Council between Albania and the EU.

The DP says that since 2011, they had created the positive precedent of involving the opposition’s representative for foreign policy, Ditmir Bushati, at the annual meetings of the Stabilization-Association Council between Albania and the EU.

But Rama went in Brussels only with their representative, without the opposition. This action, according to the DP, is just the fear from having the government criminalized. “They will not be able to hide in Tirana, in Brussels or anywhere else”, the DP said, adding that “this government is ruining every positive political heritage that they have found.”
