Divjaka, farmers in difficulties

Divjaka farmers do not seem as satisfied as in the last year. One year
ago, the abundant production found a considerable market, but farmers
say that this year, after many months of hard work, they have been
obliged to throw away a great quantity of their products.

Sale prices have decreased, but this year there aren’t even the foreign merchants who used to buy from them. Sale prices in this market are three times lower than retail prices. This situation has created great losses for the producers of Lushnje and Divjaka.

Farmers say that this year there are less merchants from Kosovo who frequently buy seasonal goods from the area of Myzeqe.
