Community gives low evaluations for local administration on national scale. 2000 voters participated in the polls performed by Civil Society Organization, partner of “UN Women”. UNDP expressed their dissatisfaction on the lacking of many services.

“Low women participation in governing decisions, the lacking of local initiatives to encourage women employment, the lacking or low quality service on public kindergartens, the lacking of social centers at local level, the lacking of lamp posts in the main and secondary streets of the commune territory, the lacking of running water and its bad quality, the lacking of garbage collection in neighborhoods”, said Entela Macka, coordinator for Korça.

According to the observations held by these organizations, on May 8th local elections is also noted a small number of women candidates for the local administration.

“No commune or municipality in all Shkoder district has any female candidate. Nine political subjects in Shkoder will be fined with 3000 lek (21 Euros) for not presenting women candidates on their lists”, declared Zenepe Dibra, coordinator for Shkoder.

This analyze was performed in seven regions and has also indicated the low transparency level of local administration towards the electors.
