Customs, pardoning obligations

All citizens that have imported cars until December 2010, without paying
custom obligations, must present a written request for having all fines
pardoned and having the obligations pardoned.

“There is no need to fill any form. This is a simple written request, but must be attached with the bill received after paying the obligation. The citizens must come at the offices for making the payments”, says Ervina Domi, Law Director of Customs.

Law provides another procedure for businesses. All businesses whose debt has been accumulating since 2008, have no need to appear at Customs, because they will have all obligations pardoned. For the debts that have been accumulated after 2008, the scheme is same as with the imported vehicles.

“All economic operators with debts that have started to accumulate during 2009, will benefit the pardon if they will pay 50% of the obligation. Debts that have started to accumulate during 2010 and until this law entered in act, will have their fines pardoned if they pay 100% of the debt”, Domi declared.

All businesses or individuals who have unpaid obligations to the Customs must present their written requests before December 2011, in order to benefit the pardon.
