Court suspends case against DP leader: No evidence for payment from Biniatta Trade

The Tirana Court has suspended the trial against the Democratic Party leader, Lulzim Basha; the former General Secretary of the DP, Arben Ristani; the party’s accountant, Ilir Dervishi, who were accused of forging documents for the lobbying case in the USA.
The 41-page-long verdict says that no crime has been proven in this case.
According to the investigations, the Democratic Party didn’t have any lobbying contract with the “Biniatta Trade” company.
According to the Court, Nick Muzzin’s agreement with Biniatta Trade is not related to any party.
“There is no agreement between Muzin and the Democratic Party. There is no evidence that Muzin has taken 500.000 USD from the DP, and 150.000 USD from Biniatta Trade”.
