Ardit Gjoklaj, the young boy who was found dead in 2016, could have been killed outside the Sharra landfill and the body may have been transported inside, in order to hide it.

This is the hypothesis confirmed by Judge Gert Hoxha, announced in April 2018.

The Court has submitted evidence showing that Gjoklaj had not been hit by the vehicle with which he was working that day at the Landfill.

The coroners declared that the fact that the body was mixed with the waste, means that he could have died somewhere else, and the body may have been transported with the waste to the landfill.
