Countryman meets Berisha and Rama

After the recent visits of EU special envoy Miroslav Lajcak and commissioner of EU enlargement, Stefan Fule, US Deputy Assistant Secretary for European and Eurasian Affairs, Thomas Countryman, visited Tirana earlier this day.

Mr. Countryman met Prime Minister Berisha at 13:15 and Socialist Party leader Edi Rama.

The US diplomat’s next visits will be with the President of Albania and Chairman of Election Central Commission, Arben Ristani.

Mr. Countryman will hold a press conference from the US embassy later this evening, and he is expected to speak on this visit’s results, regarding May 8th local elections.
