Media Foundation “Dritan Hoxha” arrived even in Prishtina. The leaders
of the foundation that this year opens a competition for the best
article of written journalism, met the Journalism
Faculty students in the Prishtina University.

Vjollca Dako, director of the “Dritan Hoxha” Foundation, the journalist Monika Stefa and the editor in chief of “Shqip” newspaper, Aleksander Çipa, encouraged Kosovo students to become part of this national competition.

“The goal of our work is the continuity and promotion of journalism, TV and communication in the new generations, preserving our spirit of work. We wanted our everyday work to have a basis that protects the national values”, Dako declared.

The deadline for the materials handover is May 15th. All bachelor or master students can be part of the competition, which accepts unpublished articles of all genres, including analysis, comments, studies, reportages etc.

“We want to promote a new generation of journalists; therefore we encourage and stimulate you to write for the written press. The topics are open and the competition is free”, Stafa underlined.

“It is completely true that what the politics failed to achieve in decades, was achieved in the visual journalism of Top Channel television, which for many years remains the TV channel with more viewers than any other channel”, Çipa declared.

“One thing is sure. The Kosovo students will be part of the competition”, added Bajram Kosumi, professor at the Journalism Faculty, in the Prishtina University.
