Tirana welcomed for the first time the Chinese New year.
The Skanderbeg square was covered by characteristic lights and decorations of the Chinese culture, while many Chinese citizens live and work in Albania.
The celebrations were attended by the Mayor of Tirana, the Minister of Culture and the Chinese Ambassador.
Mayor veliaj praised the cooperation between Albania and China, and greeted the Chinese citizens living in our capital.
“There are 100 nationalities right now in Tirana. We have no only our national holidays, but we also celebrate those of other cultures”, Veliaj declared.
