Vice Chair of the Central Election Commission, Dëshira Subashi, appealed
her colleagues to participate at the evaluation meeting for the summary
table of Tirana’s Zonal Election Commission 49.
She underlined that postponing CEC meetings at this moment when everyone is waiting the results, is against the Election Code.
“The meeting was for the approval of the final result of ZEC 49, something that the DP members of this ZEC did not do as the law provides, by refusing to sign the regular documentation. Unfortunately, this CEC meeting never took place, and another meeting of 14:00 was illegally postponed and will not be held today”, Subashi declared.
“We have the obligation to treat election issues and not to block the process. I appeal all colleagues to hold this meeting and to take the right decision for other election matters”, Subashi underlined.
Right after this interview, the Spokesperson for the Central Election Commission explained that the State Police was called in for providing order at the Central Election Commission.
The State Police is now guarding the Central Election Commission promises for turning normality.
