Bushati responds to Turkey about extraditions

The Albanian Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Ditmir Bushati, responded to his Turkish counterpart, Mevlut Cavusoglu, who asked Albania to “remove the red terrorists” from the country.

“As regards the matter in question, the answer of the Albanian government to Turkey is the one that we also have in an international level. Albania has been one of the first countries that showed solidarity to what happened in Turkey, after the coup. But, on the other hand, Albania is a NATO member and EU candidate. We have been part of important international agreements and extradition procedures. We will follow all diplomatic procedures regarding this matter”, Bushati said.
