In their fifth day of hunger strike, the health conditions of the miners
who are living 1000 meters underground is deteriorating.
Some of them have asked medical help, due to the aggravated conditions caused by the lack of food, humidity and underground isolation. But the miners are determined to continue their protest.
The miners have been staying in darkness for most of the time, and they have even refused to contact with the surface. Dozens of other miners continue to stay on the entrance of the gallery, supporting their hunger striker colleagues.
One day ago, the strikers changed their demands. After ACR agreed to give them an increment of 20%, they changed it to 40%, and also requested the removal of the mine leader. Earlier they demanded also the removal of the administrator.
