From Brussels, Prime Minister Edi Rama held a press release with the President of the European Council, Donald Tusk.
Rama said that the Council’s decision this June was positive for Albania, and now there is a date for the formal opening of the accession negotiations.
Rama declared that Albania is committed to resolving old problems with neighbours the soonest possible.
“During these times we need to work hard so that when we join the negotiations, we have earned enough time. We are still very committed to the European path, to the resolution of old problems with our southern neighbours”, Rama said.
