Berisha: Only hydropower electricity

The new 1.8 million Euro road to Shenkoll serves to 20,000 citizens and has a strong impact in the agricultural and livestock market of this area that counts 50 small businesses and 3 big ones.

“The road that we are inaugurating today is proof of our honest and common efforts to build the Europe that we dream of in every corner of Albania. The new road system that we are building is the basic element in our efforts for realizing a noble dream, a dream that we totally deserve: Albania, a developed country”, Berisha declared.

According to the Prime Minister Berisha, Albania has all potentials to be classified in 2017 as a developed country, because in less than 20 years, the Albanians’ per capita incomes have increased from 4 to 7400 USD, as IMF statistics show. Despite the coastal and mountainous tourist potential, the Prime Minister Berisha also mentioned Albania’s energy potential, putting in use its water treasures.

“The waters that we are transforming in hydropower energy will soon make Albania the first country with 100% renewable energy. Its rivers and streams will turn into a great treasure. Albania – the energetic superpower in the region. We will realize our dream and will make Albania a developed country, because we are hard working people, we sacrifice, we are people that accept the sacrifice more than anyone else”, Berisha declared.

Prime Minister Berisha repeated the significance of the irrigation project, and subsidizing any planted tree; a project that Berisha puts right after the road infrastructure.

“This land, together with us, will turn into the most beautiful garden of Europe. We will make Albania well-known in Europe and around the World for its products, as proof of the great potentials that this country has, as our determination for leaving poverty behind, as our determination for building a developed Albania for us and our children”, Berisha declared.
