Berisha greets EU declaration

Albanian Prime Minister Sali Berisha greeted the declaration of EU Foreign
Ministers, which, according to him, appealed the Albanian politics to
respect the institutions.  Berisha invited the opposition to become part
of the reforms, including suggestions in the election law.

Prime Minister Berisha declared during his speech that the electronic ballot counting system would be a necessary solution for Albania. “We remain convinced that the electronic counting system would be the best solution. Today is the right moment for implementing this system, and not four or five years ago, when internet access was limited”. Berisha declared.

The Head of the Albanian Government declared that his cabinet is ready to apply the safest electornical system that might exist for all 4700 voting centers. According to Berisha, this system would enable even Albanian emigrants to participate in the voting process.

Berisha invited the Albanian opposition to suggests amends for the electoral reform, to send them to the Commission of Venice and OSCE-ODIHR, promising that the DP will pass them in the Parliament.

Berisha also expressed his condolences and asked all present to keep one minute of silence for the Kosov MP, Nekibe Kelmendi, who passed away last night.
