The Albanian Prime Minister, Sali Berisha, declared that the current
national results show the Albanians supporting the majority.
Removing the attention from the Tirana race, which the Prime Minister called as a very tough one, Berisha thanked the Albanians who, according to him, supported the government and its reforms.
“I thank the Albanian citizens who trusted this majority. The opponent started this campaign by treating the elections as a popular referendum against my government. The sovereign said his word, giving us 6% more votes in a national scale. The total political vote was trusted to the most reliable party”, Berisha declared.
The Head of the Government will wait the final result, underlining that the government will continue to implement the radical reforms and to keep its promises, creating a safe road towards the 2013 elections.
