Nothing is taking more attention by the Albanian Prime Minister these
days, than the health of the Albanian economy. Starting from last week,
in the meeting of the Democratic Party Parliamentary Group, then
continuing in two government meeting and another DP group meeting, the
speeches of Prime Minister Berisha have been focused on the review of
the budget, which has arrived in the Albanian Parliament for approval.

The budget review of the Albanian government aims to cut administration expenses and investments from which they secure the wage and pension increase to guard the 59.7% level of public debt, the budget deficit and an inflation of 3.5%, which are the main macro-economic indicators.

“In reality, this is the most active policy that a country has ever followed with wages and pensions. We will have expense cuts, starting with the budget of the Prime Ministry, and all other institutions. We must cut our expenses for guaranteeing the growth of other projects, such as raising wages and pensions”, Berisha declared.

The Albanian Prime Minister criticized the declarations of the opposition, whose billionaire leaders, according to him, are detached from reality and continue to present it as an imaginary sick economy, although the Albanian opposition, according to the Prime Minister, is making this wrong diagnosis intentionally, by even warning Greek scenarios in Albaniaa.

“We must make expense cuts, but the situation has been stabilized and there is no danger besides the sick imagination of those who have been speaking about crisis for years now”, Berisha declared.
