Basha: Rama’s government has not met the conditions for EU accession negotiations

After meeting with the Foreign Minister of Austria, Alexander Schallenberg, the opposition leader, Lulzim Basha, declared that the government leader, Edi Rama, has not  

“We share the same concern of many other European factors regarding the mistrust that the Albanian government has created by not fulfilling the main criteria for opening the EU accession negotiations”, Basha said.

“I guaranteed them that the opposition is determined to contribute to overcoming this political crisis and the main problems that were created by the said crisis and the government, which are the main obstacles for opening the negotiations”, Basha declared.

The DP leader underlined that the only responsible for the fourth consequent failure for opening the EU negotiations is PM Edi Rama.

As for the crisis, Basha said that the opposition is working to resolve it by proposing an electoral reform.
