Basha: Nothing can be won with anarchy

The Democratic Party candidate for the Tirana Municipality, Lulzim Basha, appealed for patience until the final vote count.

During a press release, Basha expressed that the voice of the citizens must be heard until the end, in order to have the clearest possible result.

“Your vote will be counted and your voice will be heard. I value the transparency with which this process has continued, especially the transparency of the votes accidentally cast in the wrong ballot boxes. We know that the provocative language for interrupting this process and pressure against the administration is not dignified and damages the process”, Basha declared.

The candidate of Alliance for the Citizen emphasized that every complaint should be done through legal ways, and not through the force and anarchy that, according to him, the Socialist Party has chosen.

“The other candidate, instead of following the legal order, has decided to follow the rules of the street. He has chosen the street, and doesn’t accept to count each vote, because he fears loss. A clear and transparent process, which insures every vote to be counted, must be respected by both parties”, Basha declared, saying that the counting of all votes is vital in the Election Process.

“I have never heard the idea that counting every single vote means manipulating the result. Rama thinks that democracy means stealing votes and burying them. The citizens’ votes have not been counted yet; their voice has not been heard yet. The revolts are doing everything possible for preventing these voices of being heard”, Basha underlined.

The former Interior Minister added that he will wait with patience the votes to be counted, and that he will accept every outcome.

“By the end of the process, when all votes will be counted, I will accept every verdict. The process cannot be stopped at this phase, just because Mr.Rama or I do not like the result”, Basha declared.
