Basha: “Germany imposed conditions for Albania’s EU negotiations because Rama didn’t do his homework”

The Democratic Party leader, Lulzim Basha, declared today from the Albanian Parliament that Germany is imposing conditions to Albania because Rama has not done his homework.

“This government and majority has failed politically and morally. They are trying to give the impression that things are going normally. Rama has received bad news about the negotiations last night, 24 hours after the Macron-Merkel meeting. They have taken a decision about opening the negotiations with Albania or not. This is the worst news for Albanians, news that our citizens don’t deserve. It is the German verdict that Albania has not fulfilled the conditions for opening the accession negotiations”, Basha said.

The Parliament’s session was interrupted after Basha blocked the podium and refused to release even when the new session started.

“They mute the voice of the opposition and interrupt the internet connection to not allow the opposition to speak. This happens only in the Albania of Edi Rama, Gramoz Ruci, Saimir Tahiri and Fatmir Xhafa. They muted us because I was saying the truth, the one that Germany and Europe knows very well. Rama says that the negotiations will open, but we don’t have a date. Rama has not done his homework and this is the reason why Germany took this decision”, Basha declared.
