The Democratic Party leader, Lulzim Basha, said today in Parliament that 20,000 families were removed from the social welfare without any explanation.

“Not a single word was told to them. When there are elections, the Habilaj, Balilaj and Tahiri go there with money and food”, Basha said, adding that Rama’s decision to remove them from welfare is criminal and not based on law.

“Social welfare is an obligation of the government. They have invented a point system, but they refuse to make it public. There is no bigger crime than taking away the only source of food from these families. You come here showing off your millions stolen through your power. And I am not calculating the 5000 others with disabilities, who deserve the social welfare because they have no income at all”, the Democratic Party leader declared.

Basha added that the government has all the money to help the families in need, “but this money goes to the pockets of Edi Rama and his Ministers, to the thieves and their gangs. Transparency International told them this, yesterday when they confirmed the description of the European Commission for an Albania plunged into corruption and crime”.

Basha said that the negotiations with the EU are at risk due to Edi Rama’s corruption.

“The negotiations are at risk due to the crime and corruption. Albanians, unite! The opposition will always be with you. Get together, in order to liberate our country from these 50 bandits. We are the majority. Let’s take fate in our hands”, Basha declared.
