The case of the US lobbyists, who were helping the Democratic Party during their protest in the tent, in 2017, is expected to open due to new developments.

Sources from the Prosecution said that the Democratic Party leader, Lulzim Basha, will be questioned for the first time, on behalf of the investigations that are going on in Albania.

The former Democratic Party Secretary General, Arben Ristani, has also been summoned to the Prosecution.

Prosecutor Gjergj Tako and the financial operator of this political force, Ilir Dervishi, will also be questioned by the Prosecution on the same date, March 21st.

The Albanian Prosecutors were hoping that the custom letter from the USA could also have the testimony of the US citizen who lobbied for the DP< Nick Muzin, but this could not be sent for as long that Muzin was under oath.

Muzin is being investigated by the FBI not only for not declaring on time the 150.000 USD paid by Biniatta Trade, but also to verify if the money is used for other purposes.

There is an ongoing investigation in Scotland as well, where Biniatta Trade has its HQ. From Scotland, the Albanian Prosecutors have received new information regarding the new owners of Biniatta Trade, besides the two Russian citizens, Evgeny Sheremetyev and Konstantin Ferulev, who, according to the Mother Jones investigation, own 75% of the Biniatta Trade shares.
