The KFOR commander, General Erhard Bühler declared that he is planning
to reduce KFOR presence, although the first process of reducing troops
to 5 thousand has not ended yet.

However, the General emphasized that the second reduction will be taken considered better after verifying the already reducted structures.

“The further reduction depends on the constant strengthening of the Kosovo Police. The Kosovo Police is a history of success. They have taken a great step regarding the professional work”, Bühler declared for the daily German newspaper “Aktuell”.

According to him, Kosovo Security Forces have also undertaken big steps, which will reach after one year the preparatory level for military action.

“As soon that this will be reached, a definite decision will be taken for the profile and the future of Kosovo Special Forces”, Bühler declared.
