Arvizu, Sequi and Wolfarth in action

While the political situation in Albania is being tense in both camps,
foreign diplomats started meeting the highest leaders of the Country.

The ambassadors of US, EU and OSCE visited the Albanian President, Bamir Topi, discussing on the current political situation.

US ambassador Arvizu emphasized the need ofrespecting the rule of law in order to achieve the democratic standards and to consolidate the independent and constitutional institutions, enabling them this way to fulfill their legal obligations.

Same line was followed by the ambassador Wollfarth, while the Albanian President appealed both parties to preserve calm and order. The Head of the Albanian state also declared that Albania has all legal mechanisms for solving disagreements, and the respective institutions have the legal obligation to show independence, integrity and professionalism in the citizen’s interest.

Meanwhile, EU ambassador, Ettore Sequi and Deputy Director-General for Enlargement at the European Commission, Sannino, met the Albanian Prime Minister Sali Berisha.

The Prime Minister highlighted the transparency of this election process, and expressed the determination of his government for evaluating every vote through a transparent process, same as on the Election Day.

On the other side, the US ambassador Arvizu met the Socialist Party leader, Edi Rama, focusing on the current political situation.
