The significance of the Electoral College in a professional decision and
out of any political influence was emphasized again by the US
ambassador in Tirana, Alexander Arvizu.
Mr. Arvizu declared that USA is following the entire process that started yesterday in this college, and which will give the certification of the Tirana Mayor.
“The legal phase must be the one to decide. USA and EU, as friends of Albania, have given their stance about this. There are two important points that we have strongly underlined. First: it is extremely important that Electoral College judges take the decision based on merits, without political influences. Second, it is important that both parties accept the result, because this is part of a democratic process”, Arvizu declared.
