2500 Serbs with Kosovo passports
2500 Serbs so far have received the Kosovo biometric passports, while the biometric identity cards will be ready soon”, declared the Interior Minister, Bajram Rexhepi.
“We have around 44.000 identity cards for the Serbian community, and so far we have given 2384”, Rexhepi declared.
He added that 138.000 biometric passports have been produced in Kosovo, and 13.000 have been distributed to different consulates, around 10% of the total, which for Rexhepi is a significant number.
During a visit at the passport production department, the Interior Minister declared that soon they will start the production of the biometric identity cards and driving licenses.
Rexhepi added that during the time when the emigrants are in Kosovo, the documents can be completed within 5 days, while urgent passports can be created for two hours.
