Rama’s meeting with allies

A few moments ago ended the meeting between the Socialist leader, Edi Rama, and the Socialist Party’s allies.

The leader of the Party for Law and Justice, Spartak Ngjela, underlined that the right to propose a new candidate now belongs to the opposition.

“Berisha is not allowed to suggest a name, if we are talking for consensus. Now it is up to the opposition”, Ngjela declared.

Ngjela underlined that the opposition is in function of consensus, as demanded by the international community.

The Socialist leader, Edi Rama, added the hopes for reaching a consensus with the majority for the presidential stalemate.

Rama said on Top Channel’s Top Story that all possiblities for consensus are there, if they can agree on the modalities.

“We are so close to finding a consensus, that it would be unimaginable one month ago or during all these years. We are ready to give consensus and we demand consensus. It is true that we asked a framework of modalities and not return this into a farse, where the opposition brings names that are rejected by the majority”, Rama declared.

Rama’s declaration came after the third presidential voting round was consumed in Parliament, while the fourth will be held this Monday.
