Albanian weightlifting brought home another success from the
international arena, after Daniel Godelli won today the world champion
title for juniors at World Junior Championship, held in Pineng,
Malaysia.
Godelli especially showed up in the category of 69 kg body weight, wining two silver medals, one in Snatch category and one in Clean & Jerk Category, and a golden medal in Total.
After successfully lifting the 140 kg weight in the first round, Godelli, the only Albanian of this category, secured the silver victory in Snatch.
By lifting another 169 kg weight in the first round, he won another silver medal in the category of Clean & Jerk, where the Albanian weightlifter could not win the golden medal, due to his weight.
However, the 309 kg in Total gave Daniel Godelli the golden medal, making him Champion of the World.
