Albanian President appeals for calm and maturity

The Albanian President met the Deputy Director-General for Enlargement
at the European Commission, Stefano Sanino, in a special meeting
with the presence of the EU Ambassador in Tirana, Ettore Sequi.
The President described the post-election situation in the country and the institutional efforts for ending the election process in accordance with the international standards, emphasizing the need for “maturity, calm, responsibility, rule of law, legal order and respecting Albania’s EU integration agenda”.
According to the declaration published by the Presidency, the EU diplomat assured the Head of the Albanian State for the readiness of the International Community for helping Albania achieving democratic standards, to consolidate the independent and constitutional institutions and to fulfill EU integration aspirations.
