4000 to 5000 Albanian students leave Albania each year, after they graduate from high-school.

The Deputy Minister of Education, Ervin Demo, say that 33% of them chose Italy to continue their higher education, 11% chose Greece, 3% Germany, 10% England. 10% of the applicants come from Kosovo and 8% from Macedonia.

Students who come back and who want to unify their foreign diploma at the Ministry of Education are divided in two groups: the ones who work in the public administration, and other who work in professions regulated by law, such as doctors, lawyers, architects, engineers and teachers.
