The Albanian acting Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Gent Cakaj, met with the US Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Europe and Euroasia, Philip Reeker, as part of the OSCE Foreign Minister Meeting.
Cakaj and Reeker discussed Albania’s OSCE leadership in 2020 and the perspective of opening the EU negotiations for Albania.
The acting Albanian Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Cakaj, wrote on Facebook that they also discussed Albania’s priorities and action-plan for the OSCE leadership in 2020.
“The USA offers their absolute support in this important international commitment for our country”, Cakaj said, adding that there will also be a high level of readiness to help Albania with the earthquake consequences.
