Albania has the lowest purchase power in Europe

Albania was listed among the poorest countries of Europe as regards the purchase parity, in the same group with its Balkan neighbours, except for Montenegro.

The index the measures the purchase parity of states shows our country with the lowest purchase power in all of Europe.

Europeans had in average 13,937 EUR per person in 2017, 1.9% more than one year ago.

Iceland, Switzerland and Lichtenstein have a higher purchase power than the average EU nations.

The lowest power is in Macedonia, Bulgaria, Bosnia Herzegovina, Serbia, Belarus, Moldova and Ukraine.

Europeans had 9.4 billion EUR in 2017 for spending, including food, accommodation, energy, insurance, holidays, daily spending and other purchases.
