This year’s Council for Stabilization Association between Albania and the EU was held from November 9th to November 15th.
The Albanian Prime Minister, Edi Rama, shared on social networks the council’s report for 2016, which recognizes the country’s progress in fulfilling the political criteria for EU accession, and for keeping constant progress with the five key priorities for accession negotiations.
The Council also confirmed that the Communication of 2016 from the EU Enlargement Strategy Commission, had recommended to open the accession negotiations with Albania, based on the progress made with the key priorities, especially with the judiciary reform and vetting of judges and prosecutors.
